How to upgrade to Version 7 (2005) CNC Editor

  • Logon to the PC as computer administrator
  • Back up configuration file (mdb)
    • Copy that file to a different location
    • Note: You can find this file here (C:\Program Files\Predator Software\Editor X.X) X.X you version Number
  • Ensure you have version 7 (2005) registration codes
    • In Predator CNC Editor, click Help > About Predator and the serial number should begin with "07"
    • If you do not have updated codes either already in use, or emailed to you, Contact Shop Floor Automations by clicking Here
  • Uninstall the current version of Predator CNC Editor
    • Go to Add/Remove Programs in the control panel
    • Click the Predator CNC Editor and click "Remove"
    • Follow the prompts to allow the software to uninstall completly
  • Install the new version
    • Using the upgrade CD or files downloaded off the web, install CNC Editor and Sentinal Protection
    • Download File Here
    • You must be logged in with WIndows Administrator Rigths under XP/2000/2003 server
  • Register CNC Editor v2005 with the upgraded serial number and access codes
    • Launch the "Predator CNC Editor 2005"
    • If you previously had v7 codes installed, it should launch
    • If you do not have updated codes, Predator will launch to the registration screen. This is where you update to the new codes.
  • Move the MDB file to the correct location
  • Testing communications
    • Go through all your machines and attempt to transfer programs in both directions (Sending and saving)
    • Contact Shop Floor Automations technical support department if something does not work
